Book Arts - Fall 2013


This exhibit displays book art from the following students:

Course ARPM 263-01

This course introduces and explores the history and contemporary approaches to the Western and Eastern art of bookmaking. Students learn to construct bindings such as Japanese binding, pamphlet, hardbound pamphlet, accordion, Coptic binding, multi-signature book, portfolio, slipcase and clamshell box. Each project is individualized with the incorporation of artwork, photographs, mixed media, computer/Xerox imagery, etc. Included are classroom demonstrations as well as individual work time and instruction.
