Canvas and Library Integration

How to integrate library resources and services into Canvas using persistent links

Library Resources Tab into my Canvas Course

There are currently three display options for this tab, which appears in your Canvas course. Contact Ask a Librarian service if you would like changes.

Option 1: A page that contains:

  • Links to a subject research guide or course research guide
  • Links to relevant library databases
  • Ways to contact librarians through a chat client
  • Appointment booking option
  • Library hours
  • Liaison librarian information A Library Resources page for a specific course.

Option 2: A subject or course guide that displays immediately:

  • Contact information for the library
  • Links to relevant library databases and resources
  • Specialized research options
  • Ways to contact librarians through a chat client

A Library Resources page for a specific department.

Option 3: A general guide to the library that includes:

  • Library hours and location
  • The Find Books and Find Articles searches
  • A quick guide to citations
  • Ways to contact librarians through a chat client
