Listed in this guide are a number of databases that cover different areas of research and scholarship: legal, education, linguistics. There is also a multidisciplinary database, JSTOR.
- In research, we often use academic or library databases to find articles written by researchers and experts in the field.
- These databases are not free.
- If you are using them from off-campus, you will be prompted to log in with your netID and password (true when accessing eBooks as well).
- We may not own the full-text of everything in each database. You can use Interlibrary Services to request that items be borrowed from another library.
- Use Control+F (or Command+F on a Mac) to find your search terms within a document that is listed in your search results.
- Limit by date as needed.
- Limit to "academic journals" or "peer-reviewed" journals.
