Finding Journal Rankings

When researching sources, or deciding on where to submit your own research for publication, it's useful to know the reputation of the journals you're considering. There are a number of resources available to help:

Journal Citation Reports
Offers a systematic, objective means to critically evaluate leading journals, with quantifiable, statistical information based on citation data. Helps measure research influence & impact at the journal and category levels, and shows the relationship between citing and cited journals.
Scopus
Scopus indexes content from 24,600 active journal titles and 5,000 publishers and generates precise citation results, detailed researcher profiles, and other useful data. Includes peer-reviewed literature from scientific, technical, medical, and social science (including arts and humanities) journals, books and conference proceedings.

SCImago Journal & Country Rank (SJR)
Includes journals and country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in the Scopus® database.
Google Scholar Metrics
Ranks publications in Google Scholar by analyzing the last five years of articles from websites that follow Google's guidelines.
