The Anti-Trafficking Review is the first open access, peer reviewed journal dedicated to the issue of human trafficking. It explores trafficking in its broader context and intersections with gender, labor, and migration.

JHT is devoted to the dissemination of scholarship on all issues related to trafficking in persons and allied forms of contemporary slavery.

JHTE aims to serve as the forum to discuss and debate the legal and policy issues involving prevention, intervention, investigations, prosecution, individual, state and corporate responsibility, and the actual codified offenses, their application in practice, subsequent judicial interpretation and any ramifications emanating therefrom.

Includes research articles that reflect victimological perspectives from a broad range of disciplines and contribute to a greater understanding of victims, victimization, victim- offender relations, institutional functioning and allied issues.

Deals with human trafficking for reasons of labor exploitation. "it is important to look at the historicity of the reality of unfree labor, which for Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, mostly means its connection to chattel slavery, the illegalization of unfree labor, and the development of the legal term of human trafficking and the introduction of laws against it."

This review aims to focus on definitions of resilience, how resilience has been studied, and factors associated with resilience among trafficked survivors. Five databases were searched using key words related to trafficking and resilience.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether and how providers observe relevant indicators and assess for sex trafficking risk among minors (ages 12–17), young adults (ages 18–29), and families of minors.

"Human trafficking includes unjust practices including recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring, or receiving persons through the use of force, coercion, deception, or other means for the purpose of exploiting them. This exploitation can take many forms, be it sexual exploitation, forced labor, domestic servitude, forced marriage or even extreme measures like organ removal."

The article discusses cases of human trafficking in the U.S. and around the world. Also cited are the efforts to end human trafficking including the drafting of the Palermo Protocol at the 2000 United Nations Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime, the signing by U.S. President Bill Clinton of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA), and the definition by the U.S. Justice Department of sex trafficking.

Treating persons as commodities to be exploited commonly involves targeting the vulnerable, including children, and forcing them to work in the sex industry or as toilers in sweat shops or domestic service. As a consequence victims may become unwillingly implicated in criminal conduct, whether prostitution, immigration offences, theft (pick-pocketing being a particular possibility) or drug crime.
