CDs, LPs and Tapes

Sprague Library has thousands of sound recordings on compact discs, 33 1/3 rpm discs (vinyl) and cassette tape. They can be found by searching the Sprague Library catalog using the Advanced Search feature and specifying the desired Format, e.g. Sound recording, DVD.

They may be checked out for use within the Library or at home.

Sibley Music Library (U of Rochester): Musical Scores
The University of Rochester's Sibley Music Library is engaged in an NEH project to digitize its public-domain music scores.
National Jukebox LOC.gov
The Library of Congress presents the National Jukebox, which makes historical sound recordings available to the public free of charge. The Jukebox includes recordings from the extraordinary collections of the Library of Congress Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation and other contributing libraries and archives.

PubMed on Tap
PubMed On Tap is an application for your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad that lets you search PubMed for while on the go. It may be purchased from the iTunes Store for $2.99.

Naxos Music App for the iPhone

The Naxos Music Library iPhone app was designed with institutional users in mind, so a subscription through a university or library such as MSU's Harry A. Sprague works. It just works little differently on an iPhone than on a computer.
