Finding data to supplement a research project or locating a suitable repository for archiving research data has grown in importance. With the increasing number of data repositories available, Databib simplifies both tasks by offering access to a registry of more than 500 data repositories worldwide. This community-driven resource accepts new repository listings that are reviewed and approved by an international editorial board before inclusion in the directory. The site is easy to use and navigate, with recent repositories prominently displayed in the left column. Entries may be browsed alphabetically or by 20 broad subject categories. Users may also choose from a simple Google-style search or an advanced search that allows searching by Title, Description, Authority (organization responsible for the repository), Subject, Classification, or Country. Repository records include important information on how one may reuse data sets (Reuse field) and on who is permitted to deposit (Deposit field). URLs are provided in the records for each data repository, but the links open in the same window, thus making it difficult to navigate back to Databib if one strays too far from the site.
