Mobile Sites

All of Sprague Library's services should work in your mobile device's web browser but some are specially designed to make pages viewed this way more usable:

PubMed Plus Mobile
Point your phone’s browser to the following URL, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/, you are presented with the mobile version of the PubMed site.
SAGE Premier Journals
Over 600 peer-reviewed full-text journals with content extending back to 1999 that covers a variety of subject areas including business, humanities, social sciences, science and technology, medicine, etc. Automatically switches to a mobile format for patrons that use a smart phone or other mobile device.

PubMed on Tap
PubMed On Tap is an application for your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad that lets you search PubMed for while on the go. It may be purchased from the iTunes Store for $2.99.

Library eBooks

The Library is pleased to announce the availability of ebrary eBooks in the form of a dedicated iOS app. Sprauge Library has a collection of approximately 100 ebrary eBooks that cover a variety of academic subject areas. With the ebrary app, library patrons may now search for, read, and download eBooks seamlessly, on an interface that’s been optimized for mobile viewing. Patrons can login to the mobile app via their Facebook account. This FREE app is availabe in the iTunes App Store.

Prior to using ebrary’s Mobile App on your iOS device, two things you need to do:

1. Go to the MSU ebrary site from a browser and sign in to your personal ebrary account as usual.

You’ll need to do this at least once every 90-days to validate use on the mobile app

2. Create an Adobe account if you don’t already have one:

If you’ve done full-document downloads on ebrary, you already have one
To create an Adobe account

1) Go to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership
2) Click “Create an account”
3) Fill in at least the starred fields…
4) Click “OK”

Once you have completed these two steps on a browser, then you can go to the mobile app and sign in. Click to see instructions for signing in to the mobile app.
